Review of MuLondon Organic Hemp Face Moisturiser

“As a long-term believer and activist in how hemp can add positive benefits to society, I’m always excited to come across great products containing parts of this wonderful plant, in one form or another. Like more & more people, I am aware of the incredible properties of hemp, and feel it’s only fair to share this knowledge.

So it was with excitement I awaited & received my sample of ‘MuLondon Organic Hemp Moisturiser’, through the post, to review for HIIM. The MuLondon Organic Hemp Moisturiser contains, amongst other natural ingredients, hempseed oil. Hempseed oil is one of the few sources of gammalinolenic acid (GLA), an EFA that resembles sebum, the natural lubricant in skin & hair. For this reason hempseed based hair and skin care products enhance the skin’s softness & smoothness, and give hair its natural sheen & body.

The product arrived in perfect condition; very well presented with extra ‘gift’ packaging to add to the fun of opening. MuLondon offer generous amounts of information on their very special, highly, thought-through skin care products. Included was a lovely personal touch letter from ‘Boris- founder & head cream whipper’, showing that the product had credentials, such as certification by The Vegan Society, and PETA, to name but two.

Upon opening the lid on the jar, I was struck by the quality of fragrance, texture (quite solid), and gorgeous cream with the lightest hint of pale green colour. MuLondon Moisturisers are super concentrated; you can tell straight away from the whispery fragrance that the ingredients are not watered down. A subtle familiar hempseed fragrance filters through primarily.

Following the instructions enclosed, I ‘melted a pea-sized amount between the palms’ of my hands & gently massaged into my face. The moisturiser feels luxurious to use; that feeling of knowing your skin’s gonna love this! You can just sense that Boris has gone through a great deal of effort into the process of making this organic Hemp Moisturiser.

I shall enjoy using this product from now on, & am inspired to see hemp being incorporated into such a luxurious, high quality skin care product, with excellent credentials, & at a pretty reasonable price.
